Packing-shed and ag equipment crane lifts in Yuma

Yuma's winter-vegetable season, roughly November through March, keeps packing sheds, coolers and processing plants busy. The off-season is when a lot of equipment gets installed, replaced or serviced. Getting a crane lined up early keeps that work from running into harvest.

Typical ag and packing lifts

  • Refrigeration compressors, condensers and evaporators, including on cold-storage roofs
  • Cooling, processing and conveyor equipment going in through doors or roof openings
  • Tanks, pumps, motors and irrigation equipment
  • Unloading new machinery from trucks and setting it on pads
  • Shade structures and steel for sheds and equipment yards

Timing around the season

Summer and early fall are the usual windows for big installs. Send requests early in the off-season, especially if several contractors will need the same crane time before harvest. During the season, mention working hours and truck traffic so the lift can be scheduled around operations.

What to send

Equipment weight and dimensions, whether it goes onto a roof, a pad or through a door, and the setup area. Also note food-safety or site rules visitors must follow. See the equipment lift guide for the full checklist.

Questions

Can the crane set equipment on a cold-storage roof?

Yes, roof sets of refrigeration equipment are a common request. Include the roof height, distance from the setup spot and equipment weight.

Can a lift be done during harvest season?

Yes. Give the operator your operating hours and traffic patterns so the lift can be scheduled around them.

Do you handle the machinery moving inside the building?

A mobile crane works outside. Inside moves are usually done by forklifts or machinery movers after the crane sets the equipment at the door. Ask the operator what they offer.

Are you a crane company?

No. This site is an independent quote-request service. We pass your request to a local crane operator serving the Yuma area, and that operator quotes and performs the work.
